UFO/Sampler Quilt Saturday 13th August 2022
This class is held at the Village Hall in Friskney, PE22 8RD where there is ample space, good ventilation and easy parking.
The morning session is from 10 a.m. until 12.30 p.m. and the afternoon is 1.30 until 4 p.m. If you wish you can stay for both (you will need to bring along a packed lunch). Tea and coffee are provided. Select which session you wish to attend from the drop-down menu.
This class is an amalgamation of our UFO and Sampler Quilt Saturday Classes and open to all levels from complete beginners to those who have got some experience and want to explore different techniques (or even get a half done Sampler Quilt finished!). Beginners will be given plenty of tips on using your machine, hand sewing, cutting and how to get those points accurate. If you wish, you can try cutting out your block using the Gemini die-cutting machine. You will be amazed at how quickly and accurately it will cut multiple layers of fabric! We can get you started on or continue with a quilt made to whatever size you want, a lap quilt, bed quilt or runner - the choice is yours.
You can also come along to get those UFO's (UnFinished Objects) that have been lurking in the bottom of your 'to do' pile, or whatever project you are stuck on and Wendy will be on hand to guide you.
If you are using a sewing machine or bringing your own iron it will need a PAT (Portable Appliance Test) which we can do prior to the class. For the protection of others we ask that you wear a face mask or shield whilst walking about in the hall, or when other people are near but you can remove it when seated.
Please get in touch if you require any further information.
